Golden Hour Garden

If you've been following my Instagram stories, you've seen my garden in the backyard that I call the Golden Hour Garden. I live a pretty simple life and don't need many things, but at this point in my life a garden is my everything.

My backyard used to be a mud pit when I moved in. I had no idea how I was going to make a garden happen back there. I ended up getting a french drain, rocks scattered everywhere, and little kid sand boxes that I turned into garden boxes because the price of wood at the time was ridiculous. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's my happy place.

I never buy seedlings for it and always end up starting everything from seed in March. I planted my seeds in egg cartons and watched them grow in my living room until June when it was warm enough to put them into the ground. Here are some pics on the progress.

If you don't have a garden, you should def start one. $20 worth of seeds is all I use and it fills up the space entirely. There is something so therapeutic about putting your hands in dirt. I think it's very grounding for the soul.

(Since I'm a collector and save everything, I've been saving these blue bottles for the last 3 years. I like doing fun art projects in the yard and this was one of them.)
