This is one of my original shell art paintings that started me down the path of my art series and really taught me how to use a paintbrush. I was in college and this was my first art fundamentals course. I was instructed to use a paint brush, black paint only, and pick a textured object where I could learn to play around with the brushes thicknesses. I brought in seashells because they were easy for me to carry into class and I really liked the surface of each one. This is one of 3 seashell prints that I ended up creating. Printed on smooth, acid-free, archival matte fine art paper 230gsm. Unframed.
